Novara Clinical Research is currently recruiting volunteers for
the following studies. To participate in our studies call us at

will reduce the amount of paperwork you will need to fill out in
the office.
Novara Clinical Research is conducting a research study comparing the efficacy and safety of 2.5 μg and 5 μg Tiotropium inhalation Solution delivered by the Respimat® Inhaler with Tiotropium inhalation capsules 18 μg delivered by the HandiHaler® in people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Qualified participants will receive study medication and study related physical exam at no cost. Compensation may be available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel expenses.
If you are interested in this study, you should:
- Be at least 40 years of age or older
- Must be a current smoker or have a history of smoking
- Must have been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Novara Clinical Research is looking for subjects to participate in a clinical research study comparing an investigational medication to a placebo (an inactive substance) for the treatment of pain caused by painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy or DPN.
This study lasts 21 weeks and has approximately 8 office visits and 2 telephone calls. Study medications, lab work, and study-related physical exams are provided to participants in this study at no cost. Compensation is available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel.
Subjects interested in this study should:
- Be at least 18 years of age or older
- Have been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- Must be taking one of the following medications for DPN: Tramadol, Gapapentin (neurontin), Effexor, Cymbalta, Tricyclic antidepressent
- Be dissatisfied with their current DPN pain reliever.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a very common gastrointestinal (GI)
disorder that involves abdominal pain or discomfort with diarrhea, constipation
or both. Novara Clinical Research is looking for subjects to participate in a
clinical research study of an investigational drug vs. placebo (an inactive
substance) for people with diarrhea predominant IBS.
This study lasts approximately 18 weeks and has approximately 5 office
visits. Study-related drugs (may include placebo), lab work, and study-related
physical exams are provided to participants in this study at no cost.
Compensation is available to qualified participants for each completed visit
for time and travel.
Subjects interested in this study should:
- Be between 18 and 79 years of age
- Have had symptoms of IBS with diarrhea for at least 6 months
- Currently experiencing moderate to severe abdominal pain
- Not have been diagnosed or treated for cancer in the last 5 years (treated basal or squamous cell skin cancer is ok)
- Have at least 28 stools over a 7-day period

Your senior years should be spent having fun…not on the run.
As we age, OAB symptoms such as sudden urges to urinate and frequent
wetting episodes become more common.
If you are frustrated living with OAB, you may be interested in
a research study we are conducting to evaluate an approved medication
for overactive bladder.
If you take part in this research study, you will attend five office
visits over a 14-week period. If qualified, you will receive the
study medication or placebo (an inactive look-alike pill) and study-related
care at no cost. You may also be compensated for time and travel.
We are looking for male and female participants who:
- Are age 65 or older
- Have experienced overactive bladder symptoms for at least 3 months
- Have strong, sudden urges to urinate
- Experience frequent wetting episodes
- Have health problems related to aging
Do you have a child who has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes?
Novara Clinical Research is currently recruiting parents or caregivers of
children who have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. If you are the primary
caregiver for a child, ages 3 to 12, with Type 1 diabetes, you may be eligible
to participate in a medical research study.
Qualified subjects must be able to complete 1 visit to our location.

We are enrolling adult volunteers now
If you have type 2 diabetes, find out if you qualify for a clinical research study
of an investigational oral diabetes medication.
You may be eligible if:
- You have a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes, AND
- You are age 30 or older and have had a heart attack or stroke, or other vascular
problem
OR
- You are 50 or older and have been told by your doctor that you are at high
risk for heart disease
If eligible to participate, you will be seen by a study doctor and receive study-related
testing and study medication at no cost. Once enrolled, you may be reimbursed for
parking and travel expenses.

Novara Clinical Research is looking for subjects to participate in a clinical research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of high blood pressure in people with type 2 diabetes.
This study will last up to 12 weeks and has approximately 12 office visits. This study also involves 2 24 hour urine collections and 2 24 hour blood pressure monitors. Study-related drugs (may include placebo), lab work, and study-related physical exams are provided to participants in this study at no cost. Compensation is available to qualified participants for each completed visit for time and travel.
Subjects interested in this study should:
- Be between 18 and 65 years of age
- Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes AND high blood pressure
- Be taking an oral medication for your diabetes
- Be willing to complete 2 24 hour urine collections and 2 24hour blood pressure monitors
- Be willing to make weekly visits during the study
